Without a battery a typical household uses about 40% of its solar and exports the rest for around 2c a kWh. With a battery that share rises to about 75%.
The rebate The battery rebate is about $280 per kWh of storage, up to 50 kWh, and we take it straight off the quote.
When it pays If you are out during the day and run the air-con, oven and pool pump in the evening, the extra self-use saves around 31c for every kWh you keep.
