Small-scale technology certificates shrink every January until 2030. Here is how they are counted and why we claim them for you.

The federal solar rebate is paid as certificates called STCs.

How many you get The number depends on the system size, your zone (Perth is zone 3) and the years left until the scheme ends in 2030.

Why it shrinks Each January there is one year fewer to count, so the same system earns fewer certificates. In 2026 a 6.6 kW system earns about 36.

What you do Nothing. We claim the certificates and take their value off your price. The quote shows the exact number.
